In addition to the Vegas nightclub scene Tiger Woods has made regular pilgrimages to the Strip since 1998 for a less sketchy reason than bimbo hunting: Tiger Jam.
Tiger Jam is actually Wood’s biggest connection and contribution to Vegas. The annual charity concert, heavily branded by AT&T, raises millions not only for Tiger Woods Foundation but also for charities in the Vegas area. Usually the concert takes place between April-June, and past headliners have included Van Halen, Bon Jovi, No Doubt and Stevie Wonder. In short, this is the sort of star power you can call on when you are the world’s most famous athlete. But what happens now?
According to the site for Tiger Jam, next year’s event is still on at Mandalay Bay Events Center with headliners to be announced. But that does not seem very likely now based on Wood’s personal life and the Vegas connection. Still, there is hope. This is generally a good concert for fans and always a worthy cause. And, so I called the publicist for Tiger Jam and am awaiting word about the current status of next year’s concert.
Not being a golf fan, I can not explain what Woods means (meant?) to his fans. But I do remember talking to a man a year or so ago who had just put an SUV branded by Woods on his credit card at the auction that accompanies the Tiger Jam concert. He was a small business owner from a Midwestern state and he spoke with pride about how he would tell people the car came from Woods, and then he added how he doubted if he would even be believed back home. Sitting next to him was his wife, whose smile was so large it obliterated the rest of her face, as her husband spoke of his endless admiration for Woods skill at golf and good works and essential decency. I wonder how that man is feeling now? (photo Sarah Gerke)

I would think Tiger Jam is now changed to Tiger Jerk.
Dead issue.
I would say he messed up so bad that even the most over the top sex, drugs and rock and roll bands don’t want to even be associated with him. Bad for their image.
And advertisers are ever so slowly moving away from this guy. It is estimated he has already lost about 100 million dollars in future revenues.
We are basically witnessing the complete destruction of a golfer. And on top of that, there is rumors that his doctor provided him with performance enhancing drugs. It’s open season on Tiger Woods.
He screwed up his image so bad that even showing up on Ophrah Winfrey on his knees and crying crocodile tears and saying he did a baaaaad, baaaaaad thing and he is devoting the entirety of the rest of his life to charity and he is joining a monastery is not going to help him.
Las Vegas needs someone else to step up to organize a charity to replace it.
This guy messed up so bad that the average reader of news is sick of all of it. Time to move on now.
