Sometimes the perfect promotional trinket comes along. And, this time the Hard Rock delivered it in the form of a mirrored invite for the grand opening of their truth-in-advertising nightclub named: Vanity. Also, a neat fit for a Vegas nightclub slogan “It’s all about you.”
Of course, if you really want it to be all about you at a Vegas nightclub there is a price tag attached. Otherwise, very little turns out to be about you. Waiting for hours in a line to get inside the nightclub, for example, is not about you and so you can spend money to not wait. Of course, if there weren’t others to wait in the line, how would you enjoy the experience of being walked past them into the club by your new host friends? How can it be about the people in line, too? Don’t stop to think on that. Instead, consider how being on a crowded dance floor with nowhere to go, isn’t about you either. But, again, you can pay for a place to sit.
And, so it goes all night. If you got the money, nightclubs have the time to flatter your vanity endlessly.
At the right price Vegas nightclubs really are all about you. You can even get an escort to the bathroom at some clubs (be sure to tip). Congratulations, and, I hope the next morning you enjoyed the experience of being so special. This industry rests on you. And, the next night at the club there will be other people just as special. Yes, that is the job, night after night: making it all about you. (photo: Lanie Crossman)

Richard,
I just wanted to say that I’m happy to see your blog again. I was out of town and away from the internet for a while when the other blog ended, and I couldn’t even put my disappointment because the comments were closed. I am bookmarking this page and look forward to your continued insights!

Actually, Richard, what is worse is that these “high class” night clubs seem to attract a criminal element. And sadly enough, that criminal element aren’t only patrons that prey upon the predominantly 21-30 year old crowds, but the people that run these joints as well.
I just hope that Hard Rock paid attention to P-Ho and the Prive night club debacle; in that they need to have a hands on approach to make sure it’s run right and above board.
If they don’t, that just tells us this is another one of those clubs that is more interested in money flow; rake in that money so fast and loose that laws and regulations are overlooked.
