Gay bashing at “Criss Angel Believe”

20081022_003762

Criss Angel’s “Believe” at Luxor is widely agreed to be the worst big ticket show on the Strip. And, if you don’t know that, it may be because the erratic star of the show has generated more notice than “Believe” does. So far Angel’s highlights in Vegas include threatening to poke out the eye of one local journalist and exploding from the stage at blogger Perez Hilton. The Hilton incident resulted in an apology to the blogger from both Cirque and Luxor. But noticeably Angel did not express apology or regret.

Because of his local anti-hero status, I get sent a lot of rumors about Angel. And, most of them are too outrageous to even check out. Angel has managed to alienate most constituencies in Vegas.  People love to send me negative tips about him. I almost feel sorry for him. Almost. So, I am always extra careful what I report on Angel knowing there is so much bias against him out there, and I want everything I write to be accurate.

Meanwhile,  “Believe”  has lumbered along for more than a year amidst Cirque’s “fixation” process. The dates for the improvements to be ready for review as well as other dates hinted at for new illusions to be added to the show keep moving.  As it is now, who would pay to see Believe?  Hard-core fans, those not warned, comps?

I have heard consistent rumors about poor attendance at the show. Perhaps, a tiny audience explains why it has taken weeks for this incident to leak out. But here is the first report I got– two days ago– of what happened at Believe earlier this month. This is from a past reliable source with inside knowledge of the show as well as someone who has never been wrong in information given to me:

“Did you hear about Criss using the word ‘faggot’ as the word of the day in his show and then refusing to apologize to his dancers, who were offended? I’m just surprised that story never got out seeing as it was done in front of a theater of people.”

It is out now!

From the moment I got that e-mail I have been digging.

Here is the trick in question from when I saw “Believe”: an audience member is asked by Angel to come up with any word. Angel claims that thanks to a special bond between himself and the audience member (homophobia?) he has scribbled that word in a sealed box on a whim. To prove this, Angel has the sealed box lowered, and the audience member’s spontaneously imagined word is then spooled out on paper in large hand written letters for the entire audience to read.

This is not a very original trick, by the way. Penn & Teller do a similar trick except that they use a punchline strategy to control the range of words without limiting the choices enough to ruin the illusion of mind reading. And, I would bet my cats (not that Penn or Teller would want my lovely kitties) that they don’t prep their audience at all. In fact, the audience member’s total surprise at seeing the punchline written out is part of  Penn & Teller’s performance.

Angel’s version of the trick, according to one source who used to be involved in the show, from the start had a lot less grace than Penn & Teller’s take: “He [Angel] would always prep the random person by asking for ‘no bad words.’ I don’t know if he still does this.” As a side note, when you consider that a “random” person is “prepped” at all you get an idea of the limits of Angel’s skills on stage when compared to his peers. Plants are much easier when they are paid actors working in harmony with television editing.

Regardless, when the audience member, prepped or not, warned about language or not, picked a term synonymous with gay bashing, Angel could easily have improvised a way to avoid what happened. Consider: Would he have allowed a racial slur to be displayed for the audience, or a slang word that refers to a specific part of a woman’s anatomy? No way. Not a chance. This word seems not to have triggered those alarms.

So, Angel allowed this banner with that hateful slur to be unfurled displaying the insult to the entire audience. Maybe, Angel figured he could blame the audience member. But that is garbage as an explanation. Any professional Strip caliber entertainer could have avoided this situation in a variety of ways. The unexpected is always expected in a live performance on the Strip. A talented performer adapts. Angel either lacked the talent or the judgment (or both) to realize the occasion required him to improvise a solution. Certainly, other performers in “Believe” understood. According to my sources, some dancers in the show were so offended that they demanded an apology from Angel, which the magician characteristically refused to offer. I was told, the dancers even considered staging a walkout and complained to Cirque management about Angel’s behavior.

“Believe” cast members are in the show every night, and they know exactly what can happen during a performance, and they also know what can be done about it by Angel. And, from what I hear, they clearly considered this to be an insult and further this insult to be Angel’s responsibility. Regarding the dancer’s alleged reactions and complaints, Cirque would only tell me: “We are not at liberty to discuss anything other than what took place during the show due to our company privacy policy” That is interesting, of course,  because if no dancer complained or demanded an apology from Angel, would the policy apply?  Whose privacy is being protected if no cast member complained? Not to go all Bertrand Russell on you, but logic says that the privacy policy could only be invoked if there was a privacy issue relevant to the incident: an employee’s privacy needed to be protected. If no dancers complained about Angel, no employee would need to have that private information protected. As for Angel’s privacy, I have been told repeatedly by Cirque that he is their partner and not employee– always in the context of excusing Cirque from any responsibility for Angel’s off stage behavior. So, the privacy policy now being invoked suggests that the stories I am hearing about dancer complaints have at least some accuracy.

Anyway, normally you still would not be reading about this here as I had yet to speak to a direct witness. And, I was not planning to run this item unless I spoke to someone who actually attended the performance in question.  But when I contacted Cirque to let them know I was working on a story regarding an incident at Believe, and to find out who to reach out to when I was ready with my questions, Cirque knew at once why I was calling. They confirmed for me that the incident indeed took place on December 10. They confirmed that “Faggot” was the word displayed to the audience by Angel. Cirque claimed Angel himself did not say the word from the stage and they suggested that the audience member was British and meant cigarettes. I find these claims dubious when placed in the context of Angel again not offering any apology either to his audience or, apparently, his colleagues. This speaks to his choices and his character.  Here is Cirque’s official statement:

“On December 10, an inappropriate word was selected by an audience member as part of the premonition illusion in CRISS ANGEL Believe. It was made clear to the audience that the word is not one that is used or condoned by Criss Angel or any of the artists in the show, and the emphasis on the word was deflected during the illusion. Audience members are typically not pre-briefed as to the words they can use. Since the occurrence, a protocol has been put in place in case the situation should reoccur.”

Notice, the statement does not deny audience members are briefed into being plants. It only says audience members are not told during any such briefing what words they can or can’t use. This is different from what my former insider writes used to be the protocol. Regardless, Angel had discretion on stage that night, and he did not have to unfurl this gay bashing banner to a Vegas audience just trying to enjoy a Crique magic show.

At this point, the most magical thing about “Believe” is that Angel is still starring in this show that has soiled the Cirque and Luxor brands by tolerating  Angel’s behavior that has included threats of violence, insulting invited guests from the stage and now throw in a little gay bashing to entertain the audience. Oh, and “Believe” remains an awful show.

Again, the key to perceiving Angel’s motives remains his unwillingness to personally apologize as well as attempts to switch blame to the audience member. The people in the seats are not responsible for the show or what goes onto the stage. That is why they are called the audience.  In this case, Angel made the decision to display that word to all in attendance, and he apparently does not feel any need to apologize for doing so to his audience or to his fellow cast members.

Angel has once again dug a hole into the bottom where he had previously fallen to find a lower level to dwell in shame. And shame is the right word. Angel should be ashamed, And, his enablers at Cirque and Luxor should be ashamed.

It sounds like before long, that magic banner coming out of the box is going to say, “You’re fired.”

  2. ColinFromLasVegas

    This is unbelievable.

It’s one thing after another after another after another. Audiences ripped off nightly. And all to add to this no talent idiot’s already over inflated ego.

You’ve probably already heard everything about this clown from me, Richard. But here’s one thing I’ll throw out there. And you alluded to it. But I’ll take it one step further.

Cirque du Soleil is JUST as much to blame for all this.

They apologize for him. They seem to even condone any and all behavior he does. They seem to act totally in concert with anything and everything Criss Angel does, no matter if it’s socially unacceptable, criminal or what have you.

It’s pretty much a gimme that Criss Angel should not be on stage.

    And also it’s confirmed he’s a douchebag.

But to carry this one step further, because of Cirque du Soleil agreeing with everything he does, and apologizing for any and every little thing he does, they ALSO need to be labelled a collective bunch of douchebags…all the way from the hierarchy that got this show going on all the way down to their publicity and press departments that are always siding with their fellow douchebag.

But, let me say this to clarify my douchebag accusation. In no way shape or form am I referring to the dancers, stage managers, prop department people, actors/actresses and those behind the scenes that are in that show room and put on this show nightly and strive to provide quality entertainment, but have to suffer working alongside this completely talentless idiot that has to use shock value stuff to stay in the news. I actually commend them for their patience and professionalism in putting up with a so called star who is more douchebag than star; and to have to work for a company that in and of itself is composed of complete douchebags for siding with this bozo.

“They confirmed that “Faggot” was the word displayed to the audience by Angel. Cirque claimed Angel himself did not say the word from the stage and they suggested that the audience member was British and meant cigarettes”

This is absolute garbage; Yes cigarettes are refered to as Fags in Britain, but faggot means the same thing there as it does here.

Angel is a lost cause but Cirque should hang their head in shame.

  4. Antony

How mature can a 42 yr. old MAN be who is dating a 17 yr. old CHILD? What do you expect?

I enjoy magic and I understand more magic is being added to Believe. I am a Copperfield fan and in my opinion Copperfield’s show at the MGM is a GEM.

However, I don’t know what show you have seen, but every time that I have been in the Believe audience, the show has been PACKED. There are several things I would change, some parts are YAWNERS, but unfortunately those scenes DO NOT involve Criss Angel.

  5. I am sure the number in the quote was meant as a joke referring to the same rumors I have heard about attendance. Cirque does not release numbers but I doubt any of their shows on their slowest night hit anywhere near that low. I regret that the item gives that impression. The number is meant as a joke, in context of the quote, but perhaps in such a Vegas context that this is inside baseball. I regret I did not make it clearer that whatever Believe’s numbers, I would be shocked if they were anywhere near that bad. I was focused on the banner issue. I did no reporting on attendance. I am removing the number from the quote. Thanks for reading. Yrs., Richard

I had the displeasure of seeing this show over a year ago and can’t believe that it is still onstage. Between my father walking out and my brother getting the “church nods” it seemed destined for failure.

Clearly it’s somehow making money and like anything else, money cures all evils. I hope it has gotten significantly better for those unfortuante souls who have to endure it.

When my friends go to Vegas, it’s my pleasure to suggest more entertaining activities, such as sitting alone in ones room with the lights off and sleeping.

  7. Jim Morrison

Criss Angel is an asshole, everyone knows that. But this article is blown way out of proportion. Sorry but I don’t find this “hateful slur” offensive in the slightest. Bad taste? Sure but in no way can this be equated to a racial slur like the N word.

  8. Cindy

STOP ALREADY with bashing Criss Angel. Criss is a good man. I met him once when he first started out and he was a total sweetheart. It is VEGAS that ruinned him.

He is a good guy with a great family background.

  9. Bobak

I admit, the idea that “Vegas ruined him” does have an interesting hook. Meanwhile, I was just in Vegas for the holidays and enjoyed Penn & Teller (full house) off of Mr Abowitz’s previous recommendations –now those are two guys who know how to make an audience feel special –especially how they stay out after the show. I have no interest in seeing Believe to try a comparison.

  10. Tony

What needs to happen is for some badass to just knock the puke out of Angel and he’ll shut his mouth. The fact that people don’t do anything about his smart alec attitude is what makes him continue to be that way. He thinks he’s special but what he also needs to do is change his girlie feminine hair style and what he thinks is tough guy clothes.

He needs someone to smash him in his mouth the next time he mouths off and that will bring him down a peg or two.

  11. VegasLover

Cindy, really? Are you waving pompoms and sucking on a lollipop with pigtails in your hair? How old are you anyway? This guy is a douchebag, plain and simple. And if he is your idea of a “sweetheart”, let’s go up to Lookout Point and read passages from Hamlet.

  12. Wow

I think Vegas has it out for this guy.

How could Criss Angel get as far as he did if he wasn’t a talented man?

  13. Jessica

Oh this is completely ridiculous, not to mention blown out of proportion. I know a friend who was at the show on December 10. Criss, and practically everyone in the audience, was shocked that this particular word was chosen, however, Criss went along with it. He said himself that he would NEVER use that word. Why Criss is being blamed for something that an audience member did is baffling to me. It isn’t HIS fault. The chosen word ‘could’ have been a lot worse. What if it was a curse word like f$%k or d@mn? Would people have the same reaction? Would they even care?

This is just another grasping-at-straws attempt to demean Criss Angel and his live show for no reason whatsoever. Considering the types of entertainment that you can see in Vegas, i.e. shows with ample amounts of swearing, nudity, and sex, to bring so much attention to this minor incident is uncalled for.

Criss Angel is not an Illusionist, Artist or a Celebrity. He is only a
highly overpaid egotistical a$$hole bullshit artist using the public for his financial gain.

  15. Jesse

Las Vegas DID NOT ruin Criss Angel Cindy it was Criss Angel and his holier than thou attitude he embraced when he gained tv stardom. He BELIEVES he is the greatest thing. He tossed everyone out that got in the way. Just ask his wife when she writes her TELL ALL book.

  16. To all the Fans of Criss Angel

The selected audience member was “prepped” so yes it IS Criss Angel’s fault.
Criss is no saint, just acts that way for suckers like you who think he is a sweetheart. Criss Angel fans are just Fools. That’s how Criss earned his reputation as an Illusionist

  17. Hoss

Somebody should try to figure out how this show is still on the strip and why Pete Rose spends 6 hours a day almosy half the month at a table at Caesars’ Forum shops like a prisoner or why I get $79 on-line rooms at Trump’s 5 star hotel. The city is imploding.

  18. Jamie

How can an audience member be prepped, when the wristband is thrown out totally at random?

  19. Jamie

What I cant stand is when someone gets the wristband who cant speak english!
    Then it gets really BORING!

  20. CHUCK DEUCE

Probably Angel’s way of trying to get out of a bad deal. Bad, in that if his show is getting blasted all the time, then why let it go on, and CDS won’t close it down. How about this….call someone a faggot in the show…a show that may have a few gay performers in it. Cause great discomfort with the crew, insult a paying customer or two, and WHAM show closes, right?

That said, there are gay men and there are faggots. Perez Hilton is a gutter-slime faggot. He gives gay men a bad name, just in the same way that Criss Angel gives straight men a bad one. He’s just an a-hole.

  21. Mary

Oh…come on… He NEVER SAID THE WORD…. Can we get off the Criss Angel subject and talk about what a skank Holly Madison is? How did she get her own show on E? Let’s face it, what is LV coming to if they need Holly Madison to boost ticket sales? What happened to real talent?

  22. Mary

Seriously, I feel myself losing brain cells just thinking about how dumb she is.

  23. Jessica

The audience member was NOT prepped. NO audience member is ever prepped for the Premonition demonstration.

    Get your facts straight.

  24. ColinFromLasVegas

I am just amazed at the interaction between Criss Angel and Cirque Soleil.

First, their star threatens to blind a reporter in Las Vegas in April 2008.

Cirque du Soleil says they don’t want to get involved, that it’s a matter between Criss Angel and Norm Clarke.

Then, for the longest time after that they go out of their way to refuse comment about any of that, even siding with whatever their star says, even if it is blatant lying and deflection of the truth horse manure.

Then, their star hurls obscenities out during a show at another reporter in April 2009, a show that had children in attendance.

Cirque du Soleil apologizes. And, even though it is a general rule for stage shows in Las Vegas you never ever do that during a show, Criss Angel doesn’t apologize.

Cirque du Soleil does nothing to their star. He slides.

So, now this happens in December 2009. Which is not too amazing. Because what happened back in April 2009 was dealt with by total inaction by Cirque du Soleil, they basically gave their star unwritten carte blanche to do anything he desires on stage, even if it’s damaging to their reputation. Without even the slightest hint of a repercussion.

Cirque du Soleil comes up with another lame excuse/half hearted apology for this escapade. Criss Angel slides again.

What is this arrangement made in entertainment hell between Cirque du Soleil and Criss Angel? He chooses what direction to go on, and Cirque just says okay, even though it is wrong, inappropriate or downright criminal? And he does all this stuff and gets away with it, not to mention continuing to head probably the worst stage production in the history of the Las Vegas Strip? Who’s in charge here?

It sure seems like they let this idiot be in charge, taking a chance to drag the reputation of this worldwide entertainment company down the toilet. Not sure if anyone sees this, but I don’t know of any corporate manual guidance that teaches this type of self destruction.

The way things are going right now, Criss Angel can perform a human sacrifice naked while reciting “Mein Kampf” on stage at the Luxor and Cirque du Soleil will just apologize and go, oh, that’s how he rolls, he don’t have to apologize, let’s just forget it and keep rolling along and provide tourists with a substandard Las Vegas show with full price tickets so we can rake in that money and everybody is happy.

Both the company and the star have proven they are douchebags who place raking in money as their first priority.

    UnbeLIEvable.

Oops. Not sure if this is the right place to do this, but I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year.

  25. LEAVE CRISS ANGEL ALONE

Please leave this man alone. All he ever wanted to do was become famous. He might have gone about it the wrong way but he is a true sweetheart.

The only thing that Criss Angel did wrong in my opinion was date that Whore Holly Madison.

I hope 2010 will be a good year for him.

I will be a Loyal forever.

  26. Anonymous

regardless as to whether criss angel had no direct responsibility of that word being lashed out by the audience member, the guests are there to see
Criss Angel perform. He is the star of that show. He is part owner of that show. It would only be Humane for him to apologize to the crowd for anyone who would take offense to it as many would find that insulting. It is clear that he does not have much humane left in his soul.

  27. Missy

I feel really bad for this guy. It seems Vegas just has it out for him. I have seen interviews he has done and he seems like a really down to earth guy. I also enjoy his TV program.

Why is Vegas picking on him?

  28. CPF

That is Criss’ payback for dating that dizzy tramp Holly Madison.

  29. Curious

Is Criss Angel’s real name really Christopher or is it Richard because he acts like a real DICK.

  30. Barracuda

When I saw Believe the place was packed, so was the gift shop afterwards. I really enjoyed the show. I plan on going back again in 2010. I am not alone. That is why the show is in and out of the top 10 month after month.

This article totally blows out of porportion what happened that night. The audience member picks the word, not Criss. That person was British and the word in question does not mean the same thing over there. If the audience member had not been British, I would have thought a Criss hater caught the wristband and was trying to make slanderous comments at Criss, on the spot, during a live show…which word I have read used against him before.

Criss is a stand up guy, this is all b.s.

  31. Matthew Pappas

This article is deceptively written. I am a magician, and I know that that particular trick needs absolutely no preparation of the audience. Unless he does actually tell the person “no bad words,” there is simply no necessary pre-planned guidance. And I don’t believe that type of “preparation” constitutes using a plant. Unfortunately, Richard, you have begun to report on this from an extremely skewed perspective.

And, no, I am not a Criss Angel fan. I do, however want to see magic succeed in this town.

  32. I was recently willing to give Criss Angel another chance, and maybe even consider visiting his show for my b-day this year (since I’ve heard Cirque has been trying to improve the show)… But after this, NO WAY! I’ve heard numerous rumors before of Criss Angel’s homophobia, so it does not surprise me one bit that he’d resort to this kind of low blow at his show.

And come on, the “Brits use ‘fag’ as slang for cigarette” excuse? WEAK!

And no, Vegas doesn’t “have it out” for Criss Angel. He just keeps shooting himself in the foot by pulling these trashy antics. If anything, Cirque and MGM Mirage have been very generous in not canceling this EPIC FAIL of a show… Yet…

  33. Tara

You really need to get your facts straight before making huge false accusations about someone. In your article you are talking in circles.I personally would never read anything you have to write about ever again. For some reason in Hollywood you all constantly have to belittle others just to make it interesting enough to keep us from falling asleep to read what you write.BORING and good night.

  34. Tara

Furthermore why don’t you talk about yourself, like you haven’t ever used those words. There do you like that I just said you used those words.Have you ever done something to someone else or said something, that you might have regretted. You aren’t in the public eye like they are.Basically you aren’t that important to be talked about.I would say you are very envious of the celebrities.Have you ever even watched any of his Mindfreak episodes on DVD.He very much shows what Christ did and went threw for us.He also shows how much pain a woman has to go threw to give life to a child.I really hate reading this kind of stuff. If you want the truth then go to the celebrity themselves and don’t put words in their mouths.

  35. Not my words but interesting

    Found this on Itricks.

    Lurker 4 hours ago

I was there. The woman was NOT British. FAG is a cigarette. FA***T is the derrogotory word for a gay person. The intent was NOT a cigarette. The intent was the derrogotory adjective.

Also in the context in which Criss performs the trick. He had a ‘premonition’ of what the word was going to be, he “wrote it down”…so all along he must have known what word is in the box right? Of course in reality it’s a trick and it’s NOT in the box from the beginning, but the CONTEXT in which Angel performs it…he KNEW the word was in there.

ONE MORE THING…that hasn’t come up yet. The first word the audience member said was not the one used…the first was “ANGEL”…he made her change her mind (because that one’s too easy) and then ended up with the derrogotory word.

  36. This is BS

This is all BS. If Criss Angel wasn’t a very talent man then tell me how he got as far as he did?

  37. Anonymous

This show is a wonderful healing show if you suffer insomnia

  38. get your facts str8

there is no prepping in this illusion. i was there that night and the audience member was not british and meant it exactly how it was said.

i enjoy watching criss but not criss as a person. this is however is fault because there are quite a few ways he could have had the audience member chose another word.

as for the dancers confronting him, i heard it all, i was front row. he was confronted by one from what i could hear male dancer and we went off like a child.

for people bashing criss calling him a douchebag, its a bit much and for those defending him, get your head out of your ass.

this is his fault, not cirque’s..look at their shows and what they do, do you honestly think they condone that kind of behavior no and they cant be there to watch criss all the time.

his fault, should have handled it better, criss needs to issue an apology.

    end of story.

  39. get your facts str8

tara: you are a complete idiot, i can not believe for one second that you say criss shows what Christ did for us.

he is a magician and a horrible one at it.he isn’t Christ and NO magician can be.

also he may be a celebrity, but knowing that he is in front of an audience, having gay dancers as well as im sure crew on his show AND the horrible reviews his show get, you’d think he would be more careful when stuff like this comes up..not just fucking role with it

  40. Britney

Criss can’t be doing that bad the show is still going.

  41. Used Holly Madison?

I saw Chelesa Lately last night and Holly Madison was on. She spoke not fondly of Criss and said that Criss used her. She admitted that Criss broke it off with her.

I don’t think Criss used her. I am sure 6 months in the sack with her was fun but after hearing her voice and seeing what a bubble idiot Holly Madison really is with no talent Criss probably couldn’t take it anymore.

How could anybody but an 83 year old man take this girl seriously?

  42. get your facts str8

    UsedHollyMadison?

Really? there is no reason for you to be talking about Holly on this post, if you havent checked its about a topci thats very serious.

The relationship is old and to be honest he was better off with Holly than the 20 year old he dates now.

  43. HIGHLYDISGUSTED

“Looking back, I can see clearly now that Madison was working hard to promote Believe for him. I don’t know that he quite got that.”

well said Richard but surely Criss Angel had some sort of clue since Holly Madison was clearly a walking billboard for him; sporting his trademark name brand clothing attire all thru out season 5 of GND & during their entire 4 month union. Let’s not forget her physical transformation contribution from being best known as LoLlYiPoP HoLlY to Gothic Plastic.

Was their REAL love made between Holly & Criss or was it nothing more than a clever media trick?

  44. Cynthia Barrel

Is this joker still around? I lost respect for him when I saw he was dating that teenger. Can’t he find a woman and not a high school girl? It’s offensive to look at him. He looks like he is dating his daughter.

  45. Roberta

Sandra? Are you talking about that young kid from Mindfreak?

Please Criss gain my respect again and tell me this really isn’t a girl you are dating. She could be your daughter for god’s sake.

  46. Miguel

Please I went to see the show, and he starts with the comment these is show is dedicated to my dad, Maybe his dad raped him and is now homophobic, and he refuses to come out of the closet, the only thing he likes is to take his shirt off (kind of gay), Maybe that show is so bad he dedicated to the person that showed him that he was really GAY

  47. Tina

hey all criss isn’t gay he is dating sandra the 15 year old. he just like girls instead of women.

  48. An added benefit is the ability for the electronic smoker to smoke in virtually any place or any environment. Pubs, Clubs, restaurants, theaters and airplanes, places which have banned cigarette smoke for decades are legal for electronic smokers since the e-cigarette produces no illegal by-products, and therefore no secondhand smoke.

  49. Aaron

ok people answer this for me criss angel bust his ass to perform his live show night after night for people that just come on here afterwards and critize him about stuff that he does and u dont know why he gets mad??? he human. so let me get this right he gets a full page critizing him for something he never said? yea the word faggot showed up ok w/e did he ever say it? was he ever calling anyone a faggot? no he didnt do either one of those so that topic is done. about him be a talentless idiot. i do believe have the crap he does only most of us dream about. and one second lets get back to this real quick he shows the word faggot and people complain but this no good worthless 12 year old who wrote this quoted section below this can call him a doughebag in everyother sentecne and damn its ok for that no one writes a full page about that? lets say i got offended by the word douchebag does that mean he has to apologize? EXACTLY people really need to lay the hell off. i would bet my life that says if anyone here got pages after pages on the internet critizing u that all of u wouldnt be to happy either now would u? and it just makes it 10x harder when ur a celeb. So people just really need to lay the hell off of this stupid nonsense.
    “This is unbelievable.

But to carry this one step further, because of Cirque du Soleil agreeing with everything he does, and apologizing for any and every little thing he does, they ALSO need to be labelled a collective bunch of douchebag …all the way from the hierarchy that got this show going on all the way down to their publicity and press departments that are always siding with their fellow douchebag.
I actually commend them for their patience and professionalism in putting up with a so called star who is more douchebag than star; and to have to work for a company that in and of itself is composed of complete douchebag for siding with this bozo.”

I have met Criss a few times with my friends at signings. He was so wonderful and sweet to all of us. It was a special time for all of us.

How could all this be true about him being a douchebag? Is he really not the sweet man he seems to be?

Is he fooling us and all the loyals of what type of man we think he is?
