I sort of love how outside media cover Vegas.
On the day Celine Dion taking up residency at Caesars has justifiably grabbed headlines comes this story from Guardian on the new Caesars headliner: Matt Goss. Who? Well, Goss played a 3 month gig at the lounge at the Palms. He is now moving to a lounge at Caesars. But in Guardian’s accounting the lounge at Palms has been upgraded to “a small auditorium.”
The story also offers this amazing quote from Goss:
“I’ve played everywhere in the world but playing in the same room as Sinatra, it’s an amazing feeling.”
I am sure it is an amazing feeling. But is it a feeling Goss knows? Will someone please remind me when Frank Sinatra forsook the showroom to play the barge shaped lounge you walk past on the way to the Forum Shops? (photo: Sarah Gerke)

The Guardians interest in playing him up may be in part due to the fact he is fairly well known in Britain, but largely unknown anywhere else. In the late 80’s and early 90’s he was part of a band called Bros which had a fair amount of chart success in the UK, parts of Europe and even Australia.
