Hard Rock Casino president found dead

HR pool

It is with great sadness I have confirmed reports that Hard Rock president Andrew (Randy) Kwasniewski has been found dead.  Kwasniewski was Vice President of Operations for Hard Rock from January 2004 to May 2005. In October of 2006 he was named president.  He lead the property through dramatic growth that included a recently opened additional tower as well as the expanded Rogue Joint.  The Hard Rock has issued this statement to me:

“We are extremely saddened by the loss of Randy, and our hearts and prayers go out to the family.  We do not know any further details at this time.”

I read in the Las Vegas Review Journal he was found dead of an apparent gunshot wound at about 9:50AM yesterday morning in his home in the Sumerlin area of Las Vegas. No other information.

Randy K will be remembered as a great CEO and family man — A hands on guy who the employees loved! Yes Hard Rock just opened two new towers: the Paradise Tower and the luxury HRH Tower along with a new gaming area and some new restaurants– but it’s doing GREAT. Come by on any Saturday night – the place is PACKED. What recession??! Let’s not speculate on “why”. Some things we just don’t know.
