Everyone is entitled to a private life. In Vegas that is almost a local custom and one I honor. Of course, public figures get less privacy in our media, but that is not the sort of reporting that has ever interested me. I care about the quality of the entertainment and not who the person on stage dates when offstage.

I guess, what I am saying is that unless he sticks a person in front of the press again and proclaims his relationship, I am never going to write about who Criss Angel dates even if I know. Yrs., Richard

I just watched a documentary about the Weather Underground. The actual name of the group was based on the lyrics from that song. They called themselves the Weathermen. And this organization was an off-shoot of the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). In 1969 or so, in Chicago, the radical element basically took over SDS in a meeting and basically wanted to go for change, resorting to violent change, throwing out the protesters and changing their name. It wasn’t until later in the 1970s they were referred to as the Weather Underground (mostly by the press), because they had to hide because of planting bombs in buildings all over the U.S. (mostly unoccupied buildings). And they graduated from anti-Vietnam War (because it ended) and they turned anti-everything government, aligning themselves with other violent causes like the Black Panther Party.

I knew I couldn’t stump an avid Bob Dylan follower. Later, I’ll find something harder….
