I am still trying to get new information on the ownership disagreement at Beso restaurant and Eve nightclub that resulted in a managing partner allegedly being taken out of the establishment Wednesday by private security. I received the following statement from Beso/Eve that adds little in the way of detail:
“The activities at Beso and Eve on Wednesday simply relate to resolving a disagreement between the partners. A thorough investigation has been conducted in coordination with CityCenter and immediate action has taken place to rectify the situation to the satisfaction of all parties involved. Both Beso and Eve are open for business as usual.”
I find the use of the word “simply” here disingenuous. Sure the relationship between the unspecified “activities” and the eviction action is simple: security doing the job and leaving in 10 minutes. But that is the end of a story missing a beginning and a middle. I am guessing the “disagreement” was endlessly fascinating and complex. And, there is not a word here to clear things up.
(Anyone with further information please e-mail me.)
Norm has a column today that offers the private security team included six “beefy” men. Of course, the tiny and meek like myself rarely go into private security as careers. We become lawyers instead. And, I have heard a lawyer was indeed involved in this action, too. But that almost goes without saying; in 2010 you don’t attempt a Putsch without a lawyer. (Photo: Lanie Crossman)
