Last night the bankers of Deutsche Bank had one huge party off the bad loan to a developer that left them owning a casino on the Las Vegas Strip. Here is some footage of the exclusive party from last night celebrating the bank’s accidental foray into a megaresort opening. So, far Cosmopolitan has managed to get amazing press considering the shrivel of land the resort exists on and the lack of money available at this time to promote the property. I still think that when the initial buzz dies down Cosmopolitan will have to improve their entertainment offerings beyond restaurants and nightlife to include regular shows and a headliner to keep the buzz going. As it is now, from the street, Cosmopolitan seems to easily be stealing the sense of difference and excitement that CityCenter was meant to represent last year.
The sound on this clip is worthless and I wonder if people present heard a better audio. But the dress, ah, look at the dress.



Don’t forget the free indie rock music in the Book & Stage. It’s the modernization of lounge music, exactly as you once suggested. However, I agree, it’s not a big of a draw as a headlining act, more of a tasty side dish.
