Richard Abowitz has been covering Vegas for over a decade. He is the author of hundreds of articles (cover stories, and features, columns reviews) for Las Vegas Weekly— ranging from a profile of the magician Teller to taking up residence in a legal brothel. He has also written for Vegas Seven. Abowitz was the sole author of Movable Buffet blog and column for Los Angeles Times. Abowitz currently writes for TheDailyBeast.com.
Abowitz began writing for Rolling Stone in 1996. He was an editor at the award winning arts journal Gadfly. Abowitz’s writing on culture, politics and literature has appeared in numerous other publications including The Kenyon Review, The New Criterion and Reason.

Elaine (Lanie) Crossman has been working in the Vegas nightclub scene for over 11 years. She has developed advertising and marketing concepts for over 10 nightclubs in Las Vegas.
